AdvantechAMT has a very extensive range of frequency converters.  A subset of the total family has been identified as the most popular models and these are now available with a 30-day delivery commitment.

Please note that Advantech’s complete world-class line of frequency converters is still available but some of the more specialized models are only available with our standard lead times.

The following table gives an overview of the various models that are available on short notice:

AdvantechAMT frequency converters fall into two general product areas:  Synthesized Converters and Block Converters.  Within each product area, the converters can be packaged in a variety of configurations:  Single, Dual (no Trays), Dual (with Trays), 1:1 Redundant, Triple and Quad Converters.

Synthesized Converters:

This style of converter allows a user to set the center frequency of the band to be up and/or down-converted.  The input and output frequency bands have different bandwidths, thus necessitating the requirement to allow the user to select the bandwidth.  These units have IF frequencies of 70/140 MHz and RF frequencies of L/C/Cx/Ku/Kx Bands.

Block Converters:

Block converters differ from synthesized converters in that the input and output bandwidths are the same (for example, 500 MHz).  These units typically have an L-Band IF interface and the RF interface is either C/Cx/Ku or Kx Bands.

Single Converter:

A basic converter will have a single upconverter or downconverter module.  The unit comes in a 1RU chassis complete with power supply and front panel.

Dual Converter (With Trays):

A unique offering of AdvantechAMT converters is the ability to have two independent converters in a single 1RU chassis, mounted on removable pullout trays.  In the event of a failure of one module, it can be removed without disrupting the operation of the other converter.  The units have independent power supplies.

1:1 Redundant Converters:

This powerful and unique configuration has two (identical) converters on trays, mounted in a single 1RU chassis and operating in a 1:1 redundant configuration.  A single input/output connection to the end user is provided and automatic failover is handled within the unit.  A failed unit can be removed (hot swappable) without interrupting service.

Triple/Quad Converters:

Many of the offered frequency conversions can be offered with three or four modules within a single 1RU chassis.  These units can all be the same, or all different.  Any combination of up and/or down converters can be configured.  Please refer to the above summary table as some converters are physically too large to accommodate 3 or 4 in a chassis.
